Elmwood Hall in Danbury, CT, hosted its annual Valentine’s dance party with the help and support from their friends at Putnam Ridge! Decked out in pink, white and red, the dance promoted heart healthy exercise with singing and dancing to music with the local Danbury seniors. Social dancing not only promotes heart, muscle and bone fitness, but it also improving overall physical health and creates strong emotional and social connections that increase the sense of well-being. Susan Tomanio, the Director of Elderly Services for Elmwood Hall, lead many energetic group dances, which included line and ballroom dancing. Dance classes are regularly scheduled at the center for members to enjoy. Putnam Ridge sponsored this very special event themed with valentines goodies and many raffle prizes.
