Have you ever wondered about the meaning behind the beautiful evergreen trees at Christmas time?  All the pretty lights and splendid ornaments create the glowing centerpiece for the holiday’s celebrations, yet, the origins of the Christmas tree tradition is not known to many.  In the spirit of Christmas, the Lewisboro Seniors will welcome guest history speaker, Arthur Gottlieb, on Wednesday, December 20th, at 1 PM, at the Lewisboro Fire Department community room, 1190 Route 35, South Salem, NY, to talk about the history of the holiday.  He will share his unique perspective on how the Christmas tree became a prominent symbol and gives heart-felt meaning to many who celebrate the holiday.
